A 6 minute tour
D was so kind as to put together a video of our last trip to Khabarovsk. We previously had a 15 minute video that included these same photos, but it also included photos and video of A. We wanted to be able to show all of our readers where exactly we are going.

First... for the visual types here is a map of Russia. See that big red arrow? That is where Khab is. So when we tell you we are flying through Seoul you will understand.

The video is quite fun. And yes... you will all get to see my face. I gave D permission to include a few photos of me. Of course there aren't very many since I took most of the photos in the first place (not the ones of me of course!)

O.M.G.

I LOVE this. The tears started after about the first 10 second and didn't stop until I chuckled at the ack. to Homeland Security at the end.

Y'all are so talented!!

That was awesome. The architecture is amazing (I was having fun reading the signs... but I read Russian very slowly). I was in awe of the stone laid streets and pathways. Beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

Wow Elle - you have so many talents. Blog design, landscaping, decorating, chocolate making and video producer! I'm jealous. Wishing you a fantastic trip if I don't see you in blogland before you go!

Loved the video...how amazing and Pickle will love it when he gets older :) Seeing the big yellow drum of that gross yeasty summer drink brought bad memories for me...did you try the kavas (sp?)?

Loved the map too...we are adopting from completely different ends of the continent. Your map is so much better than mine :)

have you started packing yet? we leave in just 5 days and I have not yet made a dent in it

can't wait for part 2 ~ gaye

I haven't even started thinking about packing. I'll get there some time next week.

Yes... we did taste the Kvas. Ewww. Our travelling companion Doug loved it. They sell it here as a soft drink in the Russian market. We buy it and send it to him on occasion. In fact I have 2 bottles on the counter. They just got back so I haven't sent it to them yet.

Thanks for sharing the video. It has made me more excited about visiting. What beautiful buildings! My sisters computer doesn't have sound, so I will have to watch it again when I get home.

I made it using Windows Moviemaker, which is a free program that is included in the WinXP SP2 release. It's fairly easy to use but doesn't do as many effects as some of the programs that you pay for.
